Shadow

Moving towards the little stove in your curiosity the shadow seems more solid than it should.

As you stare at it two Lunan like eyes appear from the dark, staring back at you unblinking. Then the shadow shifts and two ears twitch and a tail uncurls out of the warm patch of dark.

In a blink it leaps out from behind the little fire box with a caterwaul screech towards your face.

"Vera, no!"

Luckily for you Laila scoops the shadow of a cat out of the air before the claws reach your face.

"I am sorry, she is still not always comfortable around people. She will learn you don't mean her harm eventually." Laila grins apologetically, scratching the feline night elemental behind its 'ears', before setting it down on the floor and nudging it back towards its warm napping spot behind her little stove.

"May be best to avoid disturbing her when she is napping until she had got to know you."
